"The Taste of It" delves into the quiet, profound isolation of Mira, an older woman whose daily existence is entirely defined by the meals she cooks for others. Running a humble tiffin service, she navigates a lonely routine of feeding her neighbors while facing a looming tenant eviction from her apartment. Her sense of purpose unravels completely when her longest-standing client abruptly terminates her services and an emotional phone call to her distant daughter, Zoya, reveals a painful lack of familial connection. Stripped of the daily obligations that once anchored her, Mira reaches a breaking point before packing her suitcase and walking away from her hollow routine to finally reclaim her own independence.
