Set in 1969, "Mooned!" follows an unassuming cinema usher who intercepts a cryptic series of numbers that thrusts him into a dizzying conspiracy. Driven by paranoia and a belief that he is being watched, he tracks the coordinates to a desolate warehouse, where he inadvertently stumbles onto a covert film set staging the Apollo moon landing. Mistaken for an extra by the frantic crew, he is hurriedly suited up in astronaut gear and pushed in front of the camera to plant the American flag. Desperate to expose the fabricated historical event, he flees the set and drags his roommate back to the warehouse to witness the elaborate hoax, only to find the space completely emptied out and devoid of any evidence. Left standing alone in the desolate storage facility, he is forced to question his own reality and sanity.
